5 Marines One Woman

5 Marines One Woman

In California dissolution of marriage cases, there is no ground for adultery.  That is largely in part because California is considered a “no fault” state, which means that the Court system does not care who’s fault it is for the divorce, just that there is an irreconcilable breakdown of the marriage which cannot be repaired.  Some states are fault states, in which one spouse can be punished for actions such as adultery.

The exception in California: the military!  The military courts are run by their own rules and regulations and an individual who is enlisted is subject to those terms and conditions as well.  Adultery does exist in the Marines and recently 5 U.S. Marines in San Diego have been subjected to disciplinary action and discharged from the Marines for engaging in relations with a Marine Woman who was below them in rank.
